Durga puja - Navratri(Dashehra)



Durga puja is one of the most popular festivals of india.It is not only a
festival,it is more enough than a festival.It is the celebration of life,culture
and trditions.Durga is the godess of divine power against all evils.
Durga, a beutiful warrior seated upon a tiger.In sanskrit 
Durga means -she who who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach.

Durga puja is one of the biggest indian festival celebrated all over india
but mainly it is celebrated in eastern india like west bengal,jharkhand,
bihar,orissa.Durga puja is the biggest festival of bengal celebrated
 by bengalis.
                      This is also known as Dashehra or Navaratri in other parts
of india.It is celebrated in the month of september or october of every year.



Navratri is the festival of nights that lasts for 9 days with three days each
devotedto worship of Ma Durga"the Goddess of Valor, Ma Lakshmi"
the Goddess of Wealth" and Ma Saraswati"the Goddess of Knowledge".
 During this 9 days of Navratari, feasting and fasting take precedence over
 all hindus.At Evening religious dances organised in order to worship
 Goddess Durga Maa.





The festival of Dussehra is also known as Vijayadashmi, is one of the
 fascinating festivals of India and is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm.
 According to the great Hindu scripture, the Ramayana, Lord Rama
 performed chandi-pujan. This was carried out in order to invoke the
 blessings of Durga Maa for the killing of Ravana, the ten-headed demon
 king of Sri Lanka who had abducted Seeta, wife of Lord Rama.
It is considerd as the most ouspicious day of navaratri.


At last i only want say happy durga puja or navaratri or dashehra.
